Candidacy for Michigan Governor - Ralph Rebandt For Governor

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., April 30, 2021. - Ralph A. Rebandt II, a Republican, proudly announces his candidacy for the 2022 election for Governor of the great state of Michigan.

When asked about the challenges facing Michigan today Ralph explained, “Michigan families and businesses are doing everything possible to rebound from the devastation caused by the mishandling of the pandemic. I believe in order to rebuild and reimagine a stronger Michigan, we must come together. Witnessing the deadlock in Lansing is extremely troubling when so many are suffering.”

Ralph has served as the lead pastor for Oakland Hills Community Church in Farmington Hills since 1987 and also serves as the Chairman of the OPC Church Extension Committee. Additionally, he is the Chaplain for the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, Southeastern Michigan Chiefs of Police, Farmington Hills and Beverly Hills Police Departments. Ralph serves on the board of the Farmington Hills Crime Prevention Advisory Committee and is a member of the Board of Governors for the Council for National Policy in Washington D.C.

Prior to becoming a pastor, Ralph was a member of the International Association of  Machinists and Aerospace Workers, the Michigan Laborers Union, and the United Steelworkers. He also attended Summit University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to obtain his Masters in Religious Education and Master of Divinity Degrees at Westminster Seminary in Pennsylvania. 

Ralph is a lifelong Michigan resident. He has been happily married for 45 years to Carol, and they have four children and sixteen grandchildren. His outstanding community involvement and many years of leadership experience will bring a much needed perspective to Lansing. Ralph’s ability to unify and stand up for conservative ideals sets him apart from the regular “politician”. 

One of the ways Ralph plans to advance Michigan is through the implementation of The Lighthouse Initiative. The Lighthouse Initiative involves four words, four values, four strategies and four solutions through partnerships with both private and public sectors. Ralph states, “I’m not a politician and I have not worked my way up through the political ladder. I’ve spent my adult life listening to and solving problems. Being able to help someone get their life turned around, mend family differences, and bring diverse groups together has been my calling for as long as I can remember. I will bring that same determination and dedication to serving all Michigan communities. In the days and months ahead, I look forward to meeting as many people as possible from every part of Michigan.”

Ralph will formally announce his candidacy for Governor on the steps of the Capitol building in Lansing, Michigan on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Star Parker, Mayor Ken Massey (Farmington Hills, MI), Congressman Bob McEwen (Executive Director of the Council for National Policy), and Dr. Randy Baker are among the list of distinguished speakers.
