Roe V Wade
Ralph Rebandt for Michigan Governor was greatly encouraged with the news that the U.S. Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Even though he has been optimistic about the overturn for quite some time, news organizations across the country base the newest report on an initial draft opinion written for the court’s majority by Justice Samuel Alito. Some of the outlets state that the premature disclosure was a leak, and that liberals will use the time to try to intimidate the Justices and the public.
Candidate Rebandt stated that “pro-life governor candidates like myself will be in the crossfire of the decision since it will put abortion laws in the hands of the states, and I am fully prepared for the fight!” He then added that Whitmer was quoted in Crains Detroit Business stating “I’ll fight like hell” and Rebandt responded “why isn’t she fighting like hell for all the children who she’s allowing to be murdered in our state? She may fight like hell, but she hasn’t met the fury of God on this issue - she’s about to in November though when she’s replaced by someone who represents Him.”
As the 50th Governor of Michigan, Ralph Rebandt will stand firmly for life. As it stands, Michigan has some of the strictest anti-abortion laws in the country. Should Roe v. Wade be overturned, and state law be implemented, he has stated that he will support the existing anti-abortion legislation and any legislation that shores up the pre-existing laws. He will support legislation that ends abortion, that de-funds abortion, and legislation that promotes life.
Rebandt’s solid pro-life position has earned him the respect and personal endorsement of one of our nation’s foremost pro-life leaders, Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life.
As a pastor, Rebandt has taken a bold stand for life. He supported and pledges to continue his support for pregnancy centers, pro-life organizations, and adoption agencies which offer hope, compassion, and help for parents with difficult decisions to make.
All life is valuable, all life begins at conception, and all life is “fearfully and wonderfully made” by our Creator. That is why our founders included these words in our Declaration, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Life is an unalienable right. Life comes from God.
Ralph Rebandt for Governor is calling upon the citizens of Michigan to pray for an awakening of hearts toward God, and asks us to join him in making Michigan a leader state in opposition to abortion so that together we will “Make Michigan a Lighthouse to the Nation.”
